Hey guys,
Just looking for a little advice from everyone..
I'm 22, 5'11, and 160 pounds and free of any physical or mental ailments. I don't run or lift or workout pretty much at all. The normal day for me during this time of the year is umpiring between 1-3 baseball games (Rec, High School, and College) just about every day as the weather allows, grounds keeping three baseball fields, and going to class twice a week in my last semester of undergrad.
Over the course of the last month or so I have noticed a sudden spike in my hunger. I am constantly hungry and it's starting to worry me.
I can eat a huge meal at dinner and sit down to watch tv or do homework and find myself hungry within the next 10-15 minutes. It should be noted, however, that dinner isn't the only time I become hungry immediately after finishing a meal.. lunch and breakfast are definitely included, and the size of the meal doesn't seem to matter. I'm not currently gaining any weight and am actually still losing. (I actually weighed 159 this morning and weighed 165 about a month ago). I also now find myself snacking a lot more than usual just to try and quell the hunger with no success. (A small 100 calorie granola bar, cereal, fruit, doritos, chocolate... I'm thinking I should try meat as it's the only thing that I haven't snacked on yet)
I guess I should also mention that my school schedule is a lot different this semester than any of the previous. I only have class Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, so free time is excessive. Umpiring is usually done in the later part of the day and evening and the three baseball fields that I grounds keep get taken care of from about 12pm-2pm or so. I find myself home a lot more in the morning/on rainy days (a lot of those lately here in the northeast) and think this may be contributing to the problem since there is such an easy accessibility to food.
I just want to understand if this is normal or if I'm experiencing something out of the ordinary. I apologize in advance for some of the rambling between the varying paragraphs, but I was trying to make sense of the wealth of information I wanted to give any one willing to help me out. : )
Thanks for the help and thoughts of everyone in advance.
